Pedras Experience is a unique, sensory and interactive museum space that reveals the full essence of “Pedras”, a 100% naturally carbonated mineral water. Located within the Pedras Salgadas Spa & Nature Park, owned by Super Bock Group, part of Carlsberg, this new visitor centre offers experiences for the whole family while telling the story of the century-old Pedras Salgadas thermal park and of the brand, founded in 1871.

With water and nature playing a central role throughout the entire journey, Omdesign conceived each area to reflect the history, DNA and extensive heritage of the Pedras brand in the most compelling way. The visit begins with the film “The Journey of a Drop”, which portrays the 100-year cycle of this unique, 100% natural water. Pedras Experience also recreates historic settings from different periods, including a thermal bathhouse, a laboratory and a late 19th-century king’s bedroom.

In the area exclusively dedicated to the brand, visitors can discover the evolution of its visual identity and advertising, from its origins to the present day. To make the visit more realistic and immersive, visitors are invited to travel back in time through an interactive experience using 360º headsets, featuring footage from the 1920s alongside present-day imagery. The stories of the Park’s employees and visitors have also been preserved and are told in the first person through the film “Testimonials”, created to share remarkable and unique moments experienced at Pedras Salgadas.

Designed for the whole family, Pedras Experience includes entertainment and interactive areas suitable for all ages, particularly children. Visitors can also personalise a Pedras label, choose their favourite setting and, at the end of the visit, take home their own personalised bottle of Pedras.

Omdesign was responsible for the identity, visual concept, creative concept, production and installation of Pedras Experience, as well as the design, programming and content development of all audiovisual and digital components, including a microsite, an app that functions as an audio guide, films and other materials.
