Omdesign brings awards to Portugal

Omdesign announces it has won eight awards at the Design Award & Competition: one platinum, five gold, a bronze and an honourable mention.

According to the competition’s World Design Rankings, Omdesign is “#1 Designer of the World” in the “Luxury” and “Sustainable Products, Projects and Green Design” categories, worldwide.

The agency from Leça da Palmeira said in a press release that it was one of two companies, worldwide, awarded platinum, which it received for its Omdesign 2016 self-promotion packaging, in the category for sustainable products and projects. Inspired by the shape of an acorn, this eco-packaging “symbolises the company's commitment to the future and bolsters its environmental and sustainability concerns”.

In the “Packaging” category, the Port wine gift pack Porto Ferreira - Waterloo Vintage 1815, the Omdesign 2014 packaging, the rebranding of Blandy’s Madeira wine and the Quinta de Ventozelo olive oil were all awarded Gold. The Kopke 375YO special edition won Bronze in the same category.

The book “250 Anos de Histórias” [250 Years of Stories], published by wine estate Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo, won Gold in “Graphics and Visual Communication” and the “Unicer 125 years” exhibition got an honourable mention in “Interior Space and Exhibition”.

This is the second time the agency has been honoured in this competition, after having received seven awards in 2016.

Designs from approximately 100 countries were submitted to this edition of the international design competition. The awards ceremony will take place on 9 June, in Italy.
