“The Luxury of Sustainability” presents a curated selection of projects that reflect who we are and what we stand for. It celebrates over 27 years of sustainable and luxurious design, deeply rooted in Portuguese culture and our enduring connection to the sea. Aligned with the national theme “Ocean, the Blue Dialogue”, our exhibition mirrors the harmony between creativity, excellence, and environmental responsibility. From tailor-made luxury packaging to earth-friendly innovation, our work brings together elegance and ecologic awareness, ensuring that every project we conceive, develop and produce is both sustainable and exquisite.

In 1998, when we founded Omdesign®, Expo 1998 was taking place in our country. Now, 27 years later, we head to Japan to exhibit our journey and most emblematic works, in a symbolic voyage that connects our origins to the future. Since our genesis, we have connected the ancient knowledge with the essence of outstanding projects. Recognized with over 350 awards from the world’s most prestigious design competitions and platforms, we work for brands all over the world that want to do better. For ideas that deserve to last. For a world that demands real top-notch projects that are conscious and timeless.

Niepoort

Bioma: The key to a Vintage with the knife in teeth



Niepoort Bioma Vintage 2017 is the key to a Vintage with the knife in teeth. This packaging carries Niepoort’s tradition with the irreverence and audacity of Dirk Niepoort, current leader of the company and member of the 5th generation of this family that produces Port wines since 1842. The edition “Rolf and The Collectors”, with its original illustrations and exclusive and innovative pieces, also inspired by the corridor of keys present in the Quinta de Nápoles’ winery, is a tribute to the constant dissatisfaction and desire to put everything into question with the goal of creating the best that Niepoort do for the whole world.

Blandy’s

The Winemaker’s Selection



To celebrate an historical milestone as the 600 years since the discovery of Madeira Island, Blandy’s has launched “The Winemaker’s Selection”, a highly luxurious and limited edition to 600 numbered magnums of a unique Madeira wine. Inspired by the bravery and audacity shown by the Portuguese navigators and by the celebration of six centuries of history of Madeira Island, Omdesign® created this edition that faithfully symbolizes Portugal and the mystery experienced by the audacious discoverers when they sighted “The Pearl of the Atlantic” for the first time, in 1419 (MCDXIXI).This special package preserves and praises the most typical and traditional origins and arts of Madeira and Portugal, as the use of Brazilian Vinhático wood, the Portuguese silver carved and chiseled on the crystal decanter and the envelope decorated with Madeiran embroidery, that carries the project’s booklet.

Chronicle Whisky

Omdesign® returned to the origins of Scotch Whisky to create Chronicle, a tribute to time, legacy, and the unique character of a single cask aged for decades under extreme conditions. This rare spirit captures the essence of its journey through a decanter that merges amber tones and crystal-clear layers, enhancing the mystery of its aromas and flavors. Developed for The Auld Alliance, a renowned name in premium spirits, Chronicle embodies a moment of reverence for whisky. The decanter echoes the shape of the original “auld” cask and blends interior glass forms with an exterior made of wooden staves, silver details, and Scottish tweed textures — celebrating both tradition and
innovation. A 360° view reveals intricate interior design, while the bottleneck takes inspiration from one of the oldest known whisky bottles. A chiseled silver base evokes the whisky’s terroir, reinforcing its deep roots in the Scottish landscape. To elevate the experience, the project includes a bespoke pipette and pump, custom supports, and a wooden display inspired by the barrel itself. The transport case, wrapped in black leather and lined with tweed, was designed to be both protective and collectible — mirroring the artistry and rarity of the whisky it holds.

Super Bock Group

Super Bock Collector’s Edition

From the alchemy between knowledge, taste and wanting, the Super Bock Collector’s Edition is born, a special edition, in a production of only 500 numbered bottles of a unique beer with an incomparable flavor and aroma. This blend honors the origins of Companhia União Fabril Portuense (CUFP), the current Super Bock Group, and pays homage to the microbrewers responsible for its genesis. Designed for “connoisseurs”, Super Bock Collector’s Edition is presented in an exclusive bottle, which was adorned with a screen-printing that reproduces the original panels of Augusto Gomes placed in the production room of Leça do Balio. These portray the craftsmanship and work of the artisans, who transform the cereals and hops, and where the Omdesign® looked for the detail that illustrates this Super Bock Collector’s Edition.

Super Bock Group

Unicer, a long story



“Unicer, a long story” celebrates, portrays and eternalizes 125 years of operation by the largest Portuguese drinks producer, part of the Carlsberg Group, based in Oporto and recognized worldwide. Over 1,000 pages, with a differentiating design, are packed into this two-volume literary work. It consists of two hard cover books in a very original wooden case, reminiscent of the wooden cases once used to transport beer. This case can be used for storage, transport and displaying the books on the library shelves. Omdesign® was in charge of the design, page layout and production of this book and also produced a shorter print version, with reserved access, through QR Code and address, to two digital versions (PT and EN). The book has several special finishes. The bronze-embossed bas-relief cover is only in colors and materials that are used in the brewing industry and for beer. The velvety varnish has an effect that reproduces the texture of two extraordinary original tapestries by the renowned artist, Eduardo Nery, which portray the brewing process.

Kopke – The Library Collection

Kopke, the oldest Port wine house, has launched “The Library Collection”, a truly unique and luxurious edition, which aims to honor and celebrate the journey and know-how acquired, since 1638, by this renowned producer of wines. Omdesign® developed the concept, design and entire production of this special collection. “The Library Collection” symbolizes the respect for the roots, origins and legacy entrusted to this house over the years. Composed by three differentiating nectars united by Port wine – a Very Very Old Tawny, a Vermouth and a Quinine, made at the beginning of the 20th century –, this combination stands out for its uniqueness and unparalleled character. Omdesign® delved into Kopke’s extensive wine and book library to bring this project to life. We reinterpreted old labels and concentrated the prestige and character of almost four centuries of history in a timeless work that accumulates narratives and proves that the peace of ageing can provide experiences that were not written, over the course of time, of the river, of every drop.

Quinta do Piloto

Quinta do Piloto XO and Family Collection: A Luxurious Journey Through Tradition

Crafted by Omdesign®, Aguardente Piloto (wine brandy) blends tradition and innovation in Portuguese distilling, inspired by the rare Moscatéis of Quinta do Piloto. The packaging’s colors and details echo the Palmela cinema theatre, founded by Humberto da Silva Cardoso, recreating its original plaster ceiling in relief. The Family Collection features two exclusive Moscatéis, each limited to 25 bottles, presented in luxurious packaging that carries the legacy of four generations of the Cardoso family.
These special editions offer to taste a century of passion and dedication of a Palmela’s historic family and carry inside, in addition to an original 50cl decanter and an exclusive spoon, two glasses, a booklet and a certificate. All of this is locked in a chest with a unique key, made of gold and silver, which highlights the rarity of these Moscatéis de Setúbal.

Murganheira

Esprit de La Maison



Murganheira has challenged Omdesign® to sign the Esprit de La Maison, a unique and exceptional new sparkling wine, produced from the “assemblage” of several Pinot varietals, that faithfully mirrors all the essence and DNA of this leader brand in Portuguese sparkling wines, regarding superior quality. With a contemporary and appellative image, the agency chose the “Living Coral” colour that radiates life and familiarity, symbolizes joy and also represents the consumer’s choice by their most human relations and by social interaction. There were bottled only 492 bottles in 1,5L magnum format, all of them manually numbered at the collar that is carefully applied by hand, method formerly used in Murganheira’s Vintage bottles. The noble and rare Pau Santo wood was the main material chosen to give life and shape to the individual exhibitor, for which were selected the best grains of this exclusive wood.

Mignon Pinot Noir



Omdesign® created the image of the Mignon Pinot Noir reference of Murganheira, a well-known Portuguese brand of wines produced using traditional methods. Murganheira Mignon presents a unique design, with originally adorned lettering, highlighting the superior quality of this red wine. The label is composed by three overlapped pieces in fine paper, that create an attractive decoration of the bottle. The noble finishes selected, such as the details high and low relief and the golden hot stamping, enhance the premiumness of this reference, at the same time that conveys it a pattern and the logo an elegant touch and feel.

Blue Sail

Blue Sail Vodka



Inspired by the captivating allure of the nautical world, Blue Sail is a tribute to adventure, love for the sea, and the essence of refined luxury. Every element — from the fully decorated 360º bottle to the premium metallic and cardboard tubes — invites you on an unforgettable odyssey. The Lemon Edition bottle is adorned with vibrant lemon illustrations wrapped around the glass, coming to life through a dynamic game of transparencies visible from every angle. Meticulously crafted with the finest materials and finishes, Blue Sail captures the purity and depth of blue across every detail. Like an experience, the packaging embodies a nautical lifestyle. The metallic tube, shaped like a monocle, features gold detailing and embossing that evokes the magnificence of the ocean and the sophistication of sailing. To elevate the sense of craftsmanship, the cardboard tube is adorned with high-quality wood lids at both ends, carefully designed to resemble a striped yacht deck. A cutout window at the center of this tube allows light to pass through the gradient blue bottle, recalling a ship’s hatch, enriched with embossing, debossing, and hot stamping, blending elegance with functionality to create a vodka packaging that is as premium as the spirit it holds.

Schloss Johannisberg

Schloss Johannisberg Ex Bibliotheca



Created to honor an extraordinary legacy, Schloss Johannisberg Ex Bibliotheca Cuvée 100 Spätlese is more than a wine—it celebrates 250 years of history and the origin of Late Harvest Riesling in 1775. Produced by the iconic Schloss Johannisberg, where Riesling’s roots trace back to the 9th century, this limited edition is a tribute to tradition, terroir, and timeless design. The packaging, by Omdesign®, reflects the rarity and prestige of the wine. Crafted from noble materials, it features premium wood wrapped in fine colored paper with gold stamping, embossing, and debossing. A dual-cover system enhances the unboxing experience, revealing the story within through an exclusive booklet and tactile finishes that evoke craftsmanship and heritage. Elegant and minimalist, the design highlights debossed patterns and an estate illustration that connects the box to its place of origin. Emerging from the depths of the Bibliotheca—where noble rot once changed Riesling’s destiny—this edition is a vessel of memory, safeguarding a jewel of oenology and perpetuating over a millennium of legacy through refined, interpretative design.

Porto Ferreira Waterloo Vintage 1815 — A Tribute to the Luxury of Time

Known among English wine lovers as the legendary “Waterloo Port,” this extraordinary 1815 Vintage is a timeless treasure, shaped by generations of expertise and reverence for time. More than a wine, it is a legacy. To honor this rarity, Omdesign® created a one-of-a-kind packaging, featuring a bespoke crystal and silver decanter illustrated with the Douro Valley landscape and inspired by silverware gifted to the 1st Duke of Wellington.
Launched in Oporto in 2014 and auctioned by Sotheby’s in London in 2015, it became the most expensive Vintage Port ever sold, with proceeds donated to APELA. Paying tribute to the Battle of Waterloo and to founder Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, this project reflects the luxury of time and the enduring values of Porto Ferreira and Sogrape Vinhos.

Honore Port Quinta do Crasto

To mark more than 400 years of history of Quinta do Crasto, Omdesign created and produced “Honore”, a special edition limited to 400 bottles of a very old Tawny Port with more than 100 years. This highly luxurious edition, inspired by the motto “Honore et Labore” (honour and work) coined by their founder, Constantino de Almeida, aims to pay homage to all those that, since 1615, invested in cultivating the vineyards and creating authentic wines, as Honore. Omdesign® totally designed this commemorative edition,
that reflects the lines and the landscape of the Douro valley, where Quinta do Crasto stands guard, and the magnificent crystal decanter individually numbered. The exterior packaging, all produced in walnut wood, has noble finishes, as silver and leather that reinforces the uniqueness of this packaging. All these elements were laboured by the wise hands of Portuguese artisans who focused on detail to make this special edition.

Quinta de Ventozelo

Olive oil range



Quinta de Ventozelo olive oils reminds us of the beauty of simplicity. Created by Omdesign®, this range of olive oil bottle design captures the soul of the product — pure, authentic, and timeless — through an image that strips away the unnecessary to reveal only what truly matters. At the core of the design is the name itself, subtly elevated as a clear statement of quality and elegance. Like the product it contains, the design is the result of careful selection, tradition, and respect for nature. The embossed olive tree, discreet yet deeply symbolic, evokes the enduring spirit of the land and the mastery of this unique brand. Every element has been chosen to convey purpose and purity. The label is crafted from greaseproof fine paper, combining embossing, debossing, and noble finishes that create texture and complexity. A premium neck label reinforces the bottle’s elevated positioning, while the tone connects it to the world it comes from — sustainable, fertile, and full of life. Quinta de Ventozelo olive oil range is a tribute to the origin, dedication, and excellence that define these editions. It is design as storytelling, refined to its core, and carefully brought to life by Omdesign®.

Adamus

Adamus Signature Edition 2021 and 2023



Adamus Signature Edition is an iconic collection that reinforces the brand’s pioneering and disruptive character in the world of gin. The 2021 edition features a design inspired by the pages of an old herbarium, with elderflower as the central element. Through a sophisticated 360º transparency effect and a layered printing technique – designed to be read from the outside in and vice versa – this edition invites us to explore the botanicals and freshness of the gin. The 2023 edition takes innovation even further, as the world’s first gin aged in oak barrels from the Baga grape variety. With an amber hue and detailed illustrations of wood and almonds, this numbered edition preserves the striking visual identity of the range. Both editions are presented in the emblematic Adamus bottle, now screen-printed with original, nature-inspired graphics. Together, they reflect the brand’s ongoing pursuit of excellence, blending sophistication, creativity, and a deep respect for natural ingredients.

Ramos Pinto

RP10



RP10 is an innovative and eco-friendly packaging designed by Omdesign® for Ramos Pinto’s iconic 10-year-old Port, from the emblematic Quinta da Ervamoira. Inspired by originality, simplicity, and environmental responsibility, the solution was conceived to go beyond its primary function—inviting consumers to reuse it creatively. Composed of two cork blocks and a pressed cardboard sleeve, this 100% sustainable packaging reflects both the heritage of Port wine and the natural properties of cork: light, insulating, and renewable. More than just a box, it becomes a cooler, pen holder, flower vase or any other purpose the consumer imagines. By encouraging this reuse, RP10 transforms packaging into a lasting, functional object, aligned with Ramos Pinto’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.

José Maria da Fonseca

Aguardente Espírito



Aguardente Espírito is a premium product by José Maria da Fonseca, a producer from Azeitão, recognized in Portugal and all over the world for the high quality of its wines. This “aguardente” (wine brandy) has a label and necklace, both in 360º, that paint it in brown and cream tones and adorn its image with a game of embossing, debossing and gold stamping, which reveal the differentiating character of Aguardente Espírito, made from the noble Moscatel grape variety. With an elegant bottle and a glass bartop, Omdesign® illustrates the uniqueness of this distilled beverage, which can also be extended to the exterior packaging, produced with a wooden top and bottom, with the motherhouse logo screen printed, and wrapping up the entire bottle by a card coated in fine paper, which mirrors the patterns present in the labeling. This set thus reinforces the superior positioning of Espírito, aged between 40 and 50 years in used oak wood casks, which is presented to the market with unparalleled elegance and delicacy.

The Quinta da Lagoalva range is a visual celebration of Portugal’s deep-rooted heritage and the brand’s commitment to sustainability and respect for nature. Situated in the heart of Ribatejo, the estate’s graphic identity encapsulates its legacy, traditions, and future ambitions, reflecting the values of the family, who have nurtured this land for generations. Omdesign®’s creative approach draws inspiration from the estate’s historical elements and natural surroundings. The main range labels feature original illustrations of the estate’s property, emphasizing the connection between the wines and
their terroir. These intricate drawings not only highlight the estate’s architectural beauty but also symbolize the authenticity and heritage embedded in each bottle. For wines intended for retail distribution, the labels incorporate unique adornments that echo the region’s cultural elements, such as the textured walls of whitewashed Alentejo houses and motifs inspired by the horse cellars of the ranch. This project stands as a testament to the power of design in storytelling and brand development, since each product tells a story of Lagoalva, making it interesting to work as a collection.

Anselmo Mendes

A Torre by Anselmo Mendes



Conceived by Omdesign® and signed by Anselmo Mendes, this project captures the essence of a Portuguese estate revered for its viticultural essence. At its core is a bespoke illustration of the Quinta da Torre estate, executed with intricate detail and restraint. The clean design speaks with deliberate clarity and simplicity. The minimalist layout draws attention to what matters: the name of the wine, the storied producer behind it, and the identity of the brand — all presented with precision and hierarchy. The logo, also created by Omdesign®, reinforces the brand’s visual identity with elegance and coherence, as it represents the historical window of the estate. It’s a more contemporaneous expression of classic elegance. Materiality plays a defining role in this edition. Textured fine paper, coupled with sophisticated embossing, debossing, and targeted varnishes, creates a tactile dimension that invites touch as much as admiration.

Municipality of Penacova

Martins da Costa – Contos Vividos



Omdesign® was responsible for the design, layout and printing of the book “Martins da Costa - Contos Vividos” (in English, “Martins da Costa – Lived Tales”) which portrays the life and work of the well-known Portuguese painter, João Martins da Costa (1921-2005), an important figure of Portuguese painting in the last century. Martins da Costa was born in Coimbra, studied painting at the School of Fine Arts in Oporto and he travelled throughout the world. He won several national and international awards and his works are currently on exhibit in museums and private collection all over the world. This book features texts written by the artist in the 1980s and 1990s, serving as a tribute to him — the grandfather of Omdesign®’s founder, whose life and work had a profound influence on his path. It also has some photos and reproductions of some of his paintings. Throughout the book, there were included several works and details of works by João Martins da Costa, which reflect his unparalleled talent, while at the same time making the book appealing and easy to read.

Quinta do Vallado

Quinta do Vallado. 300 Years in the heart of the Douro.



The book “Quinta do Vallado. 300 Years in the heart of the Douro.”, with design, layout and production signed by Omdesign®, marks the three centuries of the history of one of the oldest and most famous estates in the Douro Valley: Quinta do Vallado. The history of this centuries-old estate, which is known all over the world for the quality of its wines, is told in 224 pages. This easy-to-read book also contains emblematic pictures illustrating the past and the present and pointing the way to the future. The bilingual book, guarding and eternalizing the 300 years of Quinta do Vallado, has an appealing design and extremely distinctive finishes. The material and textures used awaken the sensory side; nobody leafing through this book will remain indifferent.

Quinta Maria Izabel

Quinta Maria Izabel Glou Glou



Quinta Maria Izabel Glou Glou is a special product launched by a wine company from Douro with products internationally recognized by its superior quality. With image signed by Omdesign®, it presents an innovative character, reinforced by the strong identity created by the Portuguese agency to emphasize the unusual nature and boldness of this edition. It is a singular wine, that allies several friends, different arts and two cities (Oporto and Lyon). With a central positioning on the labelling of this edition, the painting that pays homage to Nini, Jójó’s three-legs female dog, elaborated by Jakè – a street artist– is highlighted not only by its placement but by the surrounding as well. The 360º sleeved labels mirror, truly, the original works of Jakè who, during a trip to Oporto, utilized an ancient dictionary bought from a used bookstore to apply as background image of these unique pieces. “Glou Glou”, by its turn, is the famous expression that Jójó proclaims, invariably, whenever he opens a bottle.

Gin F.C Nº5



Gin F.C. Nº 5 was born from the true story of a local son and his wife who, after a career at the highest level, chose to return to their roots: Caxinas – a Portuguese fishing village, land of sea, resilience, and pride. Far from glamour or artifice, he came back with the same strength he once brought to the field – head held high, with deep respect for his peers and an enduring fascination with the ocean. Returning to fishing – to a life of essence and endurance – he found a new playing field. One made of salt, nets, and open horizons. Gin F.C. Nº 5 is his tribute to that world. To those who leave before dawn, who put heart and soul into everything they do, and who know that true dedication is born from experience, honesty, and courage. This London Dry carries a maritime soul and the spirit of a winner. It embodies the coastal Portuguese identity, distilling the essence of Caxinas: hard work, a deep bond with the sea, and the quiet excellence that arises from resilience and the partnership of a man and a woman. Gin F.C. Nº 5 is for those who know where they belong and draw strength from it. For those who appreciate spirits with depth and meaning. Signed by Omdesign®, the image of this gin embodies a bold statement of character, heritage, and lifestyle. Nautical elements enrich the design – from the knot tied around the bottleneck to the wave patterns engraved at the base of the glass – making the bottle a living tribute to the bravery of the sea and the soul of a champion.

Embracing the luxury of sustainability, since 1998.



Since its foundation in 1998, Omdesign® has championed sustainability as a core value, consistently expressing this commitment through its self-promotion projects. Since 2016, each piece has been a meaningful invitation – to clients, partners and community – to adopt a more conscious, responsible mindset and to embrace the Luxury of Sustainability.

From the acorn-shaped Omdesign® 2016 packaging that symbolized our commitment to replant what we take from nature, to the commemorative edition Omdesign® 2018, which celebrated our 20th anniversary by honoring Portuguese discoveries and advocating a return to values and purpose, every project has carried a deep ecological message. In 2019, H2Om highlighted the importance of preserving water – our most vital and finite resource – and encouraged reuse and reflection on natural scarcity.

OMarão, in 2022, explored the resilience and traditions of the Portuguese interior region, giving voice to ancestral arts and using 100% natural, reusable materials. With OMel, in 2023, we created 150 Bee Om Hotels to protect solitary bees, essential pollinators that safeguard biodiversity, using only reused and recyclable materials. More than a pack, OMel is a manifesto of hope and responsibility.

Dream OM, in 2024, continued this narrative by celebrating the wheat grain and the potential of each seed to inspire change, using only compostable, recyclable materials and inviting users to plant and grow. Most recently, in 2025, OMd’vine honored the 27 cycles of nature that have shaped our journey, transforming vine prunings – usually discarded – into a functional and symbolic piece, showing how we view surplus not as waste, but as opportunity.

Across all these projects, Omdesign® reinforces the belief that true luxury lies not in excess, but in awareness, simplicity, and action. For us, sustainability is not a trend. It’s a long-term, uncompromising path we’ve followed since day one. These self-promotion projects are seeds of purpose, designed to inspire, transform mindsets, and remind us all that every detail, every material, and every choice can shape a more balanced, enduring future for brands, for nature, and for us all.

Acorn

Acorn



This self-promotion packaging in the shape of an acorn, the seed of our commitment to the future, to share our desire to return to nature what we take from it, in a sustainable way. In this packaging, the acorn took shape and we combined 2 Portuguese icons – Port Wine and Cork – to mark the year the company was founded (98) and to commemorate the 89 awards we received in 2016. The shape represents our seed and the content reflects our contribution to greater sustainability and environmental conservation. Produced from wood and cork, with no use of oil derivatives, the base is a detachable cork agglomerate monoblock. Inside the packaging, under an LBV 2012 Port, there is a real acorn, covered with soil, challenging consumers to use the base to plant the more than 200 cork oaks we are offering. When the tree begins to grow, consumers can replant it to a permanent position in the ground and mark the area with the wooden ring from the centre of the package. Thanks to a threaded screw system, the base can later be reused to collect more acorns and renew the cycle.

20YO



Created for Omdesign®’s 20th anniversary commemoration, this edition is a travel to the origins of Portugal and to the Portuguese Discoveries that pictures Omdesign® values and our vision about the future. We are adventurous by nature, like the Portuguese navigators before us that once set out to sea. Inspired by 875 years of history, we have created an original packaging, made with sisal shaped as a monkey’s fist knot, one of the most famous knots in the world, used since olden times by sailors for throwing the end of a cable further. Inside, there is a tube in cardboard and a bottle of Madeira wine that celebrates their discovery. In contrast to Madeira Island, which was discovered by chance and as a result of a storm, Omdesign® really knows where north lies and wants to follow the right course, marked out since 1998, towards a safe harbor. To decorate the bottle, we used an illustration that expresses the audacity we have inherit from Vasco da Gama when facing the fearful Adamastor at the Cape of Storms. To carry it, we chose a bottle sling knot at the neck, a technique used by wise sailors since ancient times to carry their bottle of wine and always keep it cool underwater.

Water is vital for the life of all and for the survival of the species. Given its enormous economic, social and environmental importance, its quality, purity and abundance are crucial for the future of Humankind. As we believe it is in the hands of each and every one of us to contribute actively to a real conservation of the ecosystems, the goal of this Omdesign® self-promotion packaging is to sensitize all to make a sustainable commitment every day. Time is running out. We have chosen “Eau de vie” – or wine brandy, as we know it – to celebrate 2019 and our challenge was to, after sharing this, reuse the H2Om bottle, without moderation, for pure, crystal-clear water, which is vital and it is also a finite natural resource. The external box is made of recycled cardboard and has special cutting, whereas the bottle is adorned with decorative elements that praise the simplicity of this packaging.

OMarão



OMarão is a self-promotion packaging that symbolizes “the beauty of many small imperfections” and is a journey to the origins of Portugal and to the most ancient traditions that are so well done here. Marão is a famous Portuguese mountain, the 7th highest elevation in the continental territory. Located in the north, here, all the essence and soul of the people who do not abandon the harshness of these lands are preserved. “Beyond the mountains of Marão, command those who are there!” is a popular saying that works at the base of the creative concept of this packaging and that refers to the geographical isolation that this population has lived for several centuries. Omdesign® created this packaging to illustrate the toughness, the resilience and the will to perpetuate these arts and the people who, beyond Trás-os-Montes, continue to surprise us with unique products, made with unique raw materials. We went back to the origins and brought together three traditions in this edition exclusively produced with 100% natural, sustainable and reusable materials, which honor the culture and well-doing of the Portuguese artisans. The Bisalhães black pottery, from a small mountain village, is an art that dates back to the 16th century and has been considered Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. The beaten organic olive oil from the millenary olive trees of Vila Flor. And cork from Trás-os-Montes, an inseparable symbol of our country, as a way of reinforcing the ecological and sustainable path that Omdesign® has always defended and promoted, since its genesis.

Inspired by the resilience and vital role of solitary bees, Omdesign® created OMel – a purposeful self-promotion project that gives life to a network of 150 Bee Om Hotels. These shelters offer a safe haven for pollinators essential to biodiversity and the continuity of ecosystems. Each piece is built using reused materials – surplus wood from wine boxes, natural cork, and a reusable honey jar – aligning with the 3 R’s: reduce, reuse, and recycle. On top sits a spoon-shaped pencil, symbolizing the beginning of a story we’re all invited to continue writing – a story of commitment, sustainability, and hope. OMel is more than a pack; it’s a manifesto. It reflects our drive to transform mindsets and promote conscious action. By offering bees a place to thrive, we highlight the role of design as a tool for change. At Omdesign®, we proudly defend our values and believe that every small gesture can help shape a more sustainable and balanced future – for nature, for brands, and for all of us.

Dream OM



Since 1998, Omdesign® has transformed ideas into seeds of purpose, creating a legacy rooted in excellence, consistency, and environmental consciousness. DREAM OM is one more chapter in this journey – a self-promotion project that reconnects us with the beauty of simplicity and the potential of nature. Inspired by the golden grain of wheat – a timeless symbol of nourishment and renewal – DREAM OM invites us to reflect on our role in the cycle of life. This project carries a strong ecological message through every detail: a reusable glass jar adorned with Portuguese cork, a compostable outer sleeve made from plant fibers, and labels crafted from barley by-products. Inside, a drop stopper and wheat seeds encourage both reflection and action – to plant, to grow, and to care. Without varnishes, foils, or glue, and using only sustainable materials, DREAM OM is a tribute to nature’s resilience and a call to sow change. It’s a reminder that the smallest gestures – like planting a seed or reusing a bottle – can create lasting impact. Through this piece, Omdesign® reaffirms its belief that true luxury lies not in excess, but in awareness, simplicity, and the courage to keep cultivating a better future.

OMd’vine



OMd’vine is an exclusive, sustainable pack that celebrates the 27 cycles of nature that shaped the Omdesign® path. It’s a tribute to the environment and the enduring partnership with gratitude we feel for it, a symbol of renewal and sustainability. At its essence, a deep respect for the vineyard’s lifecycle is settled. Crafted from repurposed vine pruning - materials often discarded or burned - the packaging’s outer sleeve transforms waste into a valuable alternative resource to wood and other materials manufactured from felled trees or finite resources. After serving its main purpose of safely transporting and conditioning the 10-cl bottle of organic Port Wine, when flattened, the sleeve doubles as a tray, demonstrating, through all this, how we view surplus not as waste, but as opportunity. We used every part of this package to convey our eco-message. From the bottom of the bottle, which carries organic roasted almonds that perfectly match Port wine, to the cardboard sleeve and vine’s tray, every element was thoughtfully designed to embody our commitment to the Luxury of Sustainability.
